Title: Cost Accountant & Reporting Manager

Location: Corona, CA - United States

Description:   Volt Telecommunications Group is looking for a Cost Accountant and Reporting Manager to perform the duties listed below:

1. Review pricing, costs, profitability and financial and business risk for all bids.

2. Perform detailed review of operational and cost assumptions including review and audit of backup documents supporting estimates from vendors and sub-contractors.
3. Ensure consistency of assumptions with experience on prior bids
4. Manage the profitability of existing jobs to ensure that profitability goals are met or exceeded in the project pro-forma.
5. Perform ongoing monitoring of performance and financial projections of the large jobs/ customers (EDS).
6. Track changes to work scope and any change order and variances to ensure that project meets goals or issues are communicated to senior management.
7. Prepare the monthly financial review package/ forecast and analyze the variances with the forecast
8. Exercise monthly controls on POC/Loss reserve/OH rate, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and a good understanding of GAAP 3-6 years progressive experience

• Good working knowledge of the strategic planning process, budget management, and pricing and proposal development

• Direct management experience in accounting/finance

• SOX Compliance experience a plus

• Strong Microsoft Office (Excel and Access) skills

• Good interpersonal skills, which must include excellent oral and written communication skills

• Must be proficient in Excel/Access

• Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software a plus

• Knowledge of Telecommunications Industry helpful

• CPA with telecom or construction background a plus

• Deloitte and EY background preferred

• Must pass drug and background check.

Pay Rate:  $80,000.00-$85,000.00 DOE
